Andrew Jaeger

Andrew Jaeger serves as Vice President, Director of Business Development for New York for the National Commercial Services division of First American Title Insurance Company – a member of the First American Financial Corporation family of companies. 

Prior to working at First American, Andrew served as an associate in the real estate department of the New York offices of Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP and as Associate Counsel at Time Inc. He frequently writes and is an active lecturer on title insurance and related topics in First American’s Continuing Legal Education program. 

Andrew graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics in 1988 and received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 1993, from which he also received the Order of the Coif. 

Meet the Presenters

Spencer Compton

Spencer Compton is VP, Special Counsel with the New York office of the National Commercial Services division of First American Title Insurance Company, and has served in that capacity since 2001. With his experience in finance/commercial real estate and leasing, Spencer is an invaluable resource to First American Title’s wide-ranging institutional, corporate and high net worth client base. 

He is a frequent contributor to Lexis/Nexis websites and publications, the New York State Bar Association’s Real Property Law Journal, and The Practical Real Estate Lawyer. He is a well-regarded and prolific CLE lecturer and presenter for First American Title. 

Spencer is a graduate of New York University and holds a JD cum laude from Brooklyn Law School. He is a member of the Bar Associations of New York and Connecticut. Compton is also a faculty member of the Practising Law Institute; Second Vice Chair of the New York State Bar Association, Real Property Law Section; a former Co-Chairman of the Legislative Committee; and Co-Chairman of the Commercial Leasing Committee’s “Silent Lease Issues” Subcommittee.
